After moving in 2017 from St.Petersburg to Berlin Joanna Keler (b. in Gus-Khrustalnyi, USSR) is attending the Berlin University of the Arts.
In 2018-2019 in the Class for Performance and Time Based Media (Prof. Mathilde ter Heijne).
Since 2019 in the Class for Experimental Film and Video (Prof. Dr. Hito Steyerl)
Through various media she researches society relationships and works with the topic of politics, migration and influence of digital media. Most important for Joanna is the spectator, because she strongly believes that communication and participation with and through art endows the viewer with experience, which itself is the first step on the way to changes.
